What changed in each Forever beta build

One page per beta build: what Blizzard announced, what shows up in the client, and where the trackers disagree. Talent changes are computed from our own snapshots, not copied from anyone.

We read the trees twice: off the BlizzCon preview, and out of build 1.60.1.70009. The three builds in between - 69893, 69913 and 69977 - we did not read, and no snapshot of them exists here. Everything this page says about them is other people's reporting, marked as such. That is also why the talent diff on the 70009 page covers everything that happened since BlizzCon rather than that build alone.

1.60.1.70009 September 24, 2026 The first build that moves talents The build that came with Blizzard's first full development notes - and the first one whose talent trees no longer match the BlizzCon stage. Four talents are gone, two were renamed, two were replaced by different abilities in the same slot, and six moved - five of them into a different row, which changes what they cost. 14 talent changes read 1.60.1.69977 September 22, 2026 Mac and controller fixes, no game content A client update with three named fixes and nothing that touches the game itself. Blizzard said so, and both build trackers that read the client agree: nothing they read had changed. not read by us 1.60.1.69913 September 18, 2026 The first update after the doors opened Less than a day after the beta servers went live the client was updated, and then sat unchanged across the whole weekend. Blizzard posted no notes for it. What is known about it comes from datamining, and this is the build most of our dungeon data is labelled with. not read by us 1.60.1.69893 September 16, 2026 The build the beta opened on Pushed the evening before the doors opened on 17 September. This is the build every tracker started reading from, which is also why the numbers from that week do not line up: what one tracker calls the state before the first patch, another calls the first patch. not read by us BlizzCon build September 14, 2026 The BlizzCon preview build Not a beta build, but the baseline everything is measured against. The nine trees on this page are the ones the talent calculator showed until 25 September: 470 talents, read off the BlizzCon preview rather than out of a client anybody could install. not read by us

One page per beta build. What sits under "read from the client" comes from our own talent snapshots in data/talent-snapshots - the same files the calculator is built from. What sits under "reported" comes from other people's builds and is labelled as such, including where those reports disagree with each other.
