Zones
Four new regions plus reimagined corners of the original world, all inside the level 1–60 journey.
Zephras Isle
A newly discovered floating island and the Skyborne starting zone - docks in the clouds, ships chained to stone spires, and a people divided over their own ancient pact.
The Riverglades
The largest new leveling zone, roughly the size of Stranglethorn Vale: a rugged frontier between Redridge, the Burning Steppes, the Badlands and the Swamp of Sorrows - with 150–200 quests, new reputations and Powderfuse Port.
Shen'dralas
A long-hidden mystery south of Desolace, reached through the Valley of Bones and tied to the Shen'dralar, Eldre'Thalas and the centaur tribes - the zone Blizzard has said the least about so far.
Mount Hyjal
The aftermath of the Battle for Mount Hyjal: the night elves have lost their immortality, something is draining the power of the land, new factions are forming - and the mountain holds one of three entrances into the Barrow Deeps.
How the new zones fit into the old world
Four regions arrive, and they are spread across the whole level range rather than bolted on at the end: Zephras Isle covers levels 1 to 12 as the Skyborne starting zone, the Riverglades the mid thirties to mid forties with 150 to 200 quests, Shen'dralas sits south of Desolace in Kalimdor, and Mount Hyjal is an endgame leveling zone. On top of that come reworked corners of the original world - new quests in the Swamp of Sorrows, more centaur content with faction rewards in Desolace, extra NPCs and profession hooks in the old starting zones.
The part that is easy to miss: there are no flying mounts and no zone scaling. A zone keeps its fixed level range, which makes the order you take them in a decision again rather than a formality. Three new ship routes shift that order further: Stormwind to Auberdine connects the continents earlier than Classic did, Menethil–Southshore–Auberdine gives leveling some slack, and the third runs from the Steamwheedle Cartel in Tanaris to Powderfuse Port in the Riverglades.
If you want to plan that order, the leveling atlas serves you better than this wall of cards: it puts all 44 zones on both continents side by side with level range, faction and the dungeons inside them - including the ones that have no page of their own here.
The pages below are the four new ones. Each says what Blizzard stated itself and what comes out of the beta. For Shen'dralas that is the least so far - even the level range is missing.
