Every map the client holds
All 53 of them, from a single zone to a whole continent - worth a look before you read about the regions they show.
Four new regions
Plus reimagined corners of the original world woven into the level 1–60 journey: new quests in the Wetlands, more centaur content and faction rewards in Desolace, and NPCs, quests, profession hooks and recipes added to the original starting zones.
Zephras Isle
A newly discovered floating island: docks in the clouds, ships moored to stone spires by chains. Home of the Skyborne - and torn by the question of whether the old pact with the wind spirits of Skywall still carries the future.
The Riverglades
The largest new leveling zone, roughly the size of Stranglethorn Vale, on the eastern coast between Redridge, Burning Steppes, Badlands and Swamp of Sorrows. Content for both factions, new reputations and Powderfuse Port, the goblin harbour at the end of the new Steamwheedle sea route.
Shen'dralas
A long-hidden mystery south of Desolace, reached through the Valley of Bones and tied to the Shen'dralar, Eldre'Thalas, Dire Maul and the centaur tribes of the region. Blizzard has not confirmed a level range yet.
Mount Hyjal
The aftermath of the Battle for Mount Hyjal: the night elves have lost their immortality, something is draining the power of the land, and new factions are forming around the question of what comes next. Leads to Hyjal Summit - and holds one of three entrances into the Barrow Deeps.
Not a mode. Not a season. A permanent home.
WoW: Forever is a third, evergreen branch of World of Warcraft next to Modern WoW and Classic. It stays anchored in the world of the first age - Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor, level cap 60 - and expands horizontally: new regions, more than a thousand new quests, dungeons, raids and systems, all inside the level 1–60 journey. The game itself is included in a regular WoW subscription.

Warcraft Forever Collection leaves the shop.
Two new raids (10 and 20 players), two dungeons, a new playable area with new quests, a legendary questline and a PvP season refresh.
A revamped iconic raid plus another new one, two more dungeons, expanded world content, profession and Legacy updates. Hardcore mode arrives somewhere between the two updates.
The Skyborne
Elves whose history begins with rebels who fled Eldre'Thalas after the War of the Ancients and found refuge in Skywall. One ancestry, two visions - you pick a faction at character creation.
Horde · Windshaper
Embrace the elemental traditions of the pact. Unlocks the Shaman class for the Skyborne.
Alliance · High Order
Pursue the arcane legacy of the ancestors instead. Unlocks the Mage class for the Skyborne.
Both factions
Warrior, Hunter, Rogue and Druid - with brand-new Skyborne druid forms, racials, voices, dances and customizations.
The race and the Zephras Isle start require the Skyborne Heroic Pack or higher - they are not part of the plain subscription, which has drawn its share of criticism. A third group, the Al'Aketh, contests the island alongside the Windshapers and the High Order without being a playable faction choice. Also new for everyone: six race/class combinations - Gnome Priest, Human Hunter, Dwarf Shaman, Orc Mage, Troll Warlock and Undead Paladin, with more planned.
Race and class are decided together - what each race brings is on the racial abilities page.
How access works
WoW: Forever is not sold as a separate product - it is part of an active WoW subscription or Game Time. On top of that, Blizzard offers three optional pre-purchase packs. What Blizzard lists as their contents:
Skyborne Heroic Pack
- Skyborne race & Zephras Isle start
- Early name reservation
- Ground mount, cosmetics, housing decor*
- 1 Invite-A-Friend launch code
Skyborne Epic Pack
- Everything in Heroic
- Beta access from September 17
- 30 days Game Time (from Nov 4)
- 3 Invite-A-Friend codes total
Warcraft Forever Collection
- Everything in Epic
- Warcraft III: Reforged + Forsaken Kingdom campaign
- Extra mounts, transmogs, pets, toys
- Limited - available until January 11, 2027
*Housing decor is usable in Modern WoW only. On top of that, the Blizzard Gear Store carries a physical Collector's Edition: a 13-inch Dwarf and Bear statue, a Zephras Isle mousepad, art prints, collectible pins and a companion journal, plus the code for the Warcraft Forever Collection. Two limits are easy to miss in the shop: it does not ship until February 2027, a good three months after launch, and it is one per household. On September 24 Blizzard added further English runs. Azerothbase sells none of this and quotes no prices - those are in the Battle.net Shop and the Gear Store.
The questions people keep asking
Short answers, checked against the announcements Blizzard made itself. Where Blizzard has not confirmed something, it says so.
Can you have two talent builds in Forever?
Yes. Forever includes dual spec, so a character holds two talent builds and switches between them instead of resetting the tree every time. It matters most for classes that fill two roles - a druid tanking a dungeon in the afternoon and healing a raid in the evening no longer has to choose.
Which server do I pick in WoW: Forever?
None. Forever has no realms. At character creation you choose a ruleset instead: Normal, PvP or Roleplay, with Hardcore following after launch. Each ruleset is one large ecosystem, so you can group, run dungeons and raid with anyone who chose the same one. Across rulesets you cannot group, and Horde and Alliance stay separate as before. Hardcore is sealed off, but a Hardcore character that dies may move to another ruleset.
How do character names work in Forever?
Names have two parts, a first and a last name, and they are unique per region rather than per realm - which takes much of the pressure out of name reservation. You also pick a language preference, and the game places you among players who share it.
Is there a WoW Token or a paid level boost in Forever?
Blizzard says it plans neither. In an on-camera interview after BlizzCon 2026, associate production director Clayton Stone said there are no plans for anything like a token or a boost in the shop, because the journey is the game. Mind the wording: that is a statement of intent, not a published policy - the subject does not appear in the written panel recap.
How many Legacy Points can you spend at launch?
Sixteen per character, out of 65 you can earn. The 65 is not an estimate: there are exactly 65 Legacy Challenges across six categories - Classes, Tradeskills, PvP, Dungeons, Raids, Adventure - and each one awards exactly one point. The system unlocks with your first point, for most players at level 25. The points are shared across all your characters, while each one spends them separately across the Professions, Adventure and Resourcefulness trees. Alts are not required for it: a single character can reach up to 29 points, which is above the spending cap. Blizzard intends to raise the cap and add trees in later patches.
When does World of Warcraft: Forever release?
WoW: Forever launches globally on November 4, 2026 at 3:00 pm PST, which is midnight CET on November 5. The beta runs from September 17 to October 23, 2026, capped at level 20 at first and at 30 since the build of October 1.
Do I have to buy WoW: Forever?
No. The game is included with an active World of Warcraft subscription or Game Time and is not sold separately. Three optional pre-purchase packs add the Skyborne race, beta access and extras.
Will WoW: Forever run on my graphics card?
Only if it is not too old - Forever raises the floor. From launch the game supports cards built on the AMD Graphics Core Next 1 (2012), NVIDIA Maxwell (2014) and Intel Skylake (2015) architectures or newer; anything older drops out. The reason is named outright: the new renderer needs RGBA16F UAV support in compute shaders, which arrives with those generations. Read the numbers correctly, though - Blizzard notes itself that cards which only just clear that line are still well below the game's minimum requirements. The architecture is a cut-off, not a recommendation.
How many raids does WoW: Forever have at launch?
Three raids unlock on December 9, 2026, but only two of them are new: Barrow Deeps for 10 players and Hyjal Summit for 20 players. The third is Onyxia's Lair, the existing 40-player Classic raid, which the roadmap lists as a raid unlock on the same date.
Which new zones are in WoW: Forever?
Four new regions: Zephras Isle (levels 1–12, the Skyborne starting zone), The Riverglades (mid-30s to mid-40s, 150–200 quests), Shen'dralas south of Desolace in Kalimdor (level range not yet confirmed) and Mount Hyjal as an endgame leveling zone.
Is the Skyborne race free?
No. While WoW: Forever itself comes with a subscription, the Skyborne race and the Zephras Isle starting experience require the Skyborne Heroic Pack or higher. Horde Skyborne unlock Shaman, Alliance Skyborne unlock Mage.
What is new about the Forsaken Paladin?
It is one of six new race/class combinations, and the one Blizzard has said the most about. The path rolls straight out of the Warcraft III campaign Forsaken Kingdom and asks what it means to channel the Light in undeath; Bandarion Keep in the Whispering Wood of Tirisfal Glades is the key location for that experience. At level 60 the paladins of the Forsaken ride in the name of Retribution, while the Alliance counterpart rides in the name of Redemption.
How is WoW: Forever different from WoW Classic?
Classic recreates the original game as it was. Forever is a third, permanent branch that keeps the level cap at 60 and the world of the first age, but keeps growing sideways: new regions, over a thousand new quests, nine new dungeons, new raids and new systems, all inside the level 1–60 journey.
Is there flying in WoW: Forever?
No. There are no flying mounts. There is also no zone scaling; the world keeps its fixed level ranges.
Will the level cap ever rise above 60?
Blizzard has stated that the level cap stays at 60 permanently. Content grows horizontally instead, through new areas and systems inside the existing level range.
