1.60.1.70291

Recorded at 01:10 UTC on 9 October; wago.tools lists it on Blizzard's CDN on the evening of the 8th, before Blizzard posted that day's development notes. It is the first client since 70170 that changes the data tables - 1,600 rows in the tracker's count - and the first since then whose trees we have read. The Fury and Protection rework that the notes of 1 October put "in today's build" is in them now.

Build of October 9, 2026 — Blizzard: WoW Forever Beta Development Notes – Updated October 8, Kaivax

What changed

  • Class Warrior: the rework from the notes of 1 October, now in the client. Lingering Rage, Furious Precision and Gore Drinker are new; Improved Cleave, Boundless Rage and Toughness are gone; Iron Will sits in row 1 of Protection; Flurry needs Death Wish instead of Enrage; Improved Berserker Rage, Anticipation, Improved Bloodrage, Improved Revenge, Improved Disarm and Improved Shield Bash stand in the rows the notes give them. And in Arms Impale requires Deep Wounds again, as the notes of 8 October say.
  • Class Druid: Predatory Instincts is now Natural Instinct. It still raises the critical strike damage bonus of melee abilities, and now also adds 12 or 25% of Intellect as spell healing. Points on a shared link move with it.
  • Class Rage from taking damage: three bugs fixed - the player's own health was used instead of the creature's, critical strikes and crushing blows were not counted, and absorbed damage was. Blizzard now balances rage around 20 to 40% armor depending on level, instead of the 50% of a tank.
  • World The new City of Dalaran dungeon is open for testing.
  • Systems Dungeon kills give about 20% more experience, and the penalty for killing lower-level enemies in a party is calculated for each player again, as in Classic Era, instead of from the highest-level member. Every beta player is granted the Legacy Challenge and with it 16 Legacy Points.
  • Client 125 new spells in the tracker's count, among them Furious Precision and Lingering Rage, and 21 new items with 153 changed. One of the new spells is Totemic Recall - read from the files, not announced: no Blizzard text so far mentions it.

In the client, not in the notes

Five changes in the warrior trees are in neither the notes of 1 October nor those of 8 October. Precision is gone from Fury - the notes name three removed talents, the client removes four. Bloodthirst no longer requires Death Wish, and Last Stand no longer requires Improved Bloodrage. And in Protection Bastion moves down to row 6 while Focused Rage moves up to row 5, which makes Bastion cost 25 points in the tree again instead of 20.
