Shaper's Terrace

No tactics yet · beta day one

A titan facility in the Un'Goro Crater.

Level 58-60 Above beta cap

Where it lies

In the hills of Un'Goro Crater. Lead software engineer Nora Mills introduced it at the What's Next panel and called it a place seemingly untouched by time - and then said she had heard it described as a whole lot like Jurassic Park.

What it is about

A titan facility. Mills tied the name back to the one found in Sholazar Basin in Wrath of the Lich King Classic and asked the obvious question out loud: were there others, and what happened to them. Un'Goro has carried the clues for twenty years - the pylons, the crystals, the ruins, the animals that are too big - without ever explaining them. This is the dungeon that walks into that.

What stood there before

Un'Goro Crater has been pointing at something since Classic without ever saying what. The crystal pylons stand at three corners of the map and want crystals nobody could explain; the wildlife is the wrong size; there are ruins in a zone that is otherwise raw jungle. It reads as a fenced-off experiment, and it always did - but the fence was the end of it. Forever opens the hills above the crater and puts a titan facility there, which turns two decades of set dressing into a place. Whether the pylons connect to it is exactly the question the panel raised and left standing.

What it is built for

Levels 58 to 60, the narrowest bracket of the nine and the last one in the order. This is not a dungeon you pass through while levelling; it sits where the levelling ends and the raids begin.

What the beta can show of it

Out of reach, and the furthest of all nine: 58 to 60 against a beta that ends at 30. This is the last dungeon in the order and the one Blizzard has said least about - a location, a theme, a range. Whatever is inside will be found by players after launch, not by testers before it.

What is not known yet

The bosses. Blizzard's overview of 20 October adds one mechanic: you bring power crystals gathered throughout Un'Goro and use them at consoles inside the terrace, carrying what you found in the outdoor zone into the dungeon. So the crater's crystals do connect to the facility; whether the pylons do as well, the overview does not say.

Not a single encounter in this dungeon has been named. The page will grow the moment one is.
