Around launch: a poster signing, the launch trailer and an official Discord

Besides game content, Blizzard spent the last week before launch mostly on everything around it: a developer poster signing in California, an anime-style launch trailer, an official Discord server, and three video series with creators and celebrities.

Poster signing in Irvine

On 2 November 2026, two days before launch, Forever developers sign posters at the Irvine Improv in Irvine, California. Tickets are free and have been handed out through TIXR since Tuesday, 27 October, 12:00 p.m. PDT. Entry requires the QR code for your booked time slot. Blizzard added "Now Live!" to the article's title on 28 October.

Launch trailer "WARPATH"

The launch trailer has been on Blizzard's channel since 27 October: an anime-style music video made with Brunch Studio. The song is "End of You" by Poppy, Amy Lee and Courtney LaPlante. It shows no new game content; it is there to set the mood for launch.

Official Discord: the WoW Portal Room

On 27 October Blizzard introduced an official Discord server, the WoW Portal Room. It is meant for players to find groups and guilds, and is looked after by "WoW Ambassadors" from the player base.

Three video series

  • Forever Journey (from 24 October): episode 1 is set in Norway, with Guzu, Snupy and Stian Blipp.
  • Escape Together (25 October): creators in an escape room modelled on the Scarlet Monastery.
  • Planet Azeroth (from 28 October): episode 1 with comedian Bill Bailey.
