Why this page exists
On December 9, 2026, three raids unlock in WoW: Forever, not two. The roadmap graphic from the panel lists:

Blizzard's own panel recap named only the two new raids. Since the raid overview of 20 October Blizzard says it itself: three raids, with Onyxia's Lair as the third.
What Onyxia's Lair is
Onyxia's Lair is the Classic 40-player raid in Dustwallow Marsh in Kalimdor. Onyxia, a dragon of the Black Dragonflight and Nefarian's younger sister, guards her brood there. The fight has three phases and heavy fire attacks; Blizzard explicitly advises building fire resistance first and being ready to reposition.
The attunement stays
This was open until 20 October and is now confirmed: every raid member needs the Drakefire Amulet in their inventory. It does not have to be equipped. The questlines are the Classic ones, one per faction, with elite quests and several trips into high-level dungeons. Blizzard recommends starting early.
Alliance: starts in the Burning Steppes with "Dragonkin Menace" from Helendis Riverhorn, then six quests named "The True Masters". Marshal Maxwell at Morgan's Vigil sends you into Blackrock Depths after Marshal Windsor; "A Crumpled Up Note", "A Shred of Hope" (Golem Lord Argelmach and General Angerforge) and "Jail Break!" bring you back out, then to Stormwind for "The Great Masquerade" and "The Dragon's Eye". Finally you take the Blood of the Black Dragon Champion from General Drakkisath in Upper Blackrock Spire.
Horde: starts in the Badlands with "Blood and Thunder" from Warlord Goretooth in Kargath, then "Warlord's Command" in Lower Blackrock Spire, Eitrigg and Thrall in Orgrimmar and "For the Horde!" for Rend Blackhand's head. Rexxar in Desolace sends you to Myranda the Hag in the Western Plaguelands ("Oculus Illusions"), then to the drake Emberstrife in Dustwallow Marsh. He tests you in four quests "The Test of Skulls" (Scryer, Somnus, Chronalis, Axtroz). The dull amulet goes back to Rexxar, who also sends you to General Drakkisath in Upper Blackrock Spire.

What the unlock means
In WoW: Forever, Onyxia's Lair is not new content but a timed release of existing content - standard practice for Classic progression phases. Like the two new raids, it is currently planned to reset weekly.
Still open
Whether Blizzard adjusts loot or the encounter compared with Classic, the overview does not say. Nor is it known whether the attunement unlocks anything beyond the Drakefire Amulet.
